Maria Esther Salinas Mora Leal's Obituary
Maria Esther Salinas Mora Leal, of Houston, Texas, went to live with God on April 13th, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on July 1st, 1936, to Jacinto Salinas Guevara and Maria Mora Alvarez in Palos Verdez, Guanajuato, Mexico, she would go on to start her large and loving family.
She spent her life with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could be seen playing Loteria, making rosary jewelry, cooking for her family, and dancing.
She is survived by her daughters: Guadalupe Parra and her husband Jose Rolando Parra, Alicia Sustaita, Mariah Olivo and her husband Manuel A. Olivo, and Irma Julia Leal and her husband Arnoldo Lara; her sons: Juan Manuel Salinas Sustaita and his wife Adriana Briones Rico, and Maximo Salinas Sustaita and his wife Maria Liliana Villareal; her sisters: Herlinda Salinas, and Genoveva Salinas Lopez; her brother: Simon Salinas; her grandchildren: Sylvia, Roland, Karina, Carlos, Jerry, Danny, Amelia, Cory, Cody, Nickie, Charlie, Roman, Manuel, Nicholas, Ellie, Kimberly, and Annie; and her 20 Great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in passing by her parents: Jacinto Salinas Guevara and Maria Mora Alvarez; her beloved son: Gerrardo Salinas Sustaita; and her sisters: Guadalupe Salinas Rangel, Teresa Salinas Davila, and Martha Salinas Garcia.
Her memory lives on in everyone she held close in her life. Her services are being held with South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
