Maria E. Hinojosa's Obituary
Maria E. Hinojosa passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at home in Houston, Texas. Born on July 10, 1934 to Rodolfo and Petra Flores in Bastrop, Texas. Maria loved her family, spending time with them whether baking cakes or cookies and enjoying her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering at the Vinson Library Community Center. Maria is survived by husband of 56 years Jimmie Hinojosa; Children: Rene Hinojosa, Chris Hinojosa, Melinda Polanco and husband David, Alex Hinojosa, Lawrence Hinojosa and Eric Hinojosa; Brothers: Gonzalo Flores, Valentine Flores and Armando Flores; Sister: Lillie Padron; 10 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Chapel of South Park Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd, Pearland, TX 77581 on Friday June 9, 2017 at 10:00 am with Rev. Damian Hinojosa officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.
