Maria Olga Garza 82 years of age of Houston, Texas went to be with Our Lord on Friday, April 14th, 2023.
Maria Olga Garza was born in Beeville, Texas on July 11th, 1940. She was raised by her parents and attended public schools in Kingsville, Texas. Maria relocated to Houston, Texas with her husband and five children where they planted roots in their community. Maria was a woman of faith and raised her family in the image of God.
Maria was an entrepreneur and the founder of Luv-N-Care Learning Center in 1998, which continues to thrive to this day. She enjoyed reminiscing about her past time with her children and grandchildren, sharing stories about her businesses, and aiming to pave a way for her family to continue to succeed her beyond her years. Her presence was always seen at every birthday, holiday party, graduation, baby shower, and more. Maria always carried a beautiful smile and provided a unique sense of humor that filled the rooms with echoes of laughter.
Maria is survived by sisters Gloria Gallego from San Antonio, Texas, and Yolanda Flores from Kingsville, Texas, son Jimmy Garza Sr. & wife Rosario D. Garza, DDS., daughter Margie Hernandez & husband Roland Hernandez Sr., son Danny Garza & wife Elvia Garza, daughter Diana Martinez & husband Joe Martinez Jr., 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Maria is preceded in death by son Joe G. Garza Sr. (2014), granddaughter Anna Gabriela Garza (2022), and spouse Gilbert G. Garza (1996).
Maria has earned her wings and has become an Angel to watch over us as her legacy continues.
