Maria De La Luz V. Collins, from Pearland, Texas, passed away on August 4, 2024, at 75. She was born on October 26, 1948. She is survived by her husband, Granville W. Collins; her children, Silvia and her husband, Mark McKitchen, Mary Lou Maresh, Andres and his wife Roseana Elizalde; Rosalinda and her husband Phil Collins; her grandchildren: Johnny Ray, Ethan, and his wife Kaitlyn, Emily, Gabriel, Jack, Matthew, Bethany, Lauren, Michael, Andrew, Joshua, Benjamin, Victoria, Joseph, and Jasmine; her great-grandchildren: Onyx, Ryatt, Jiraiya, Aurelius, Achilles, and Amethyst, as well as her sister, Dolores and her husband Pablo Santillan, and her brothers, Frederico Vasquez, and Guillermo and his wife Araceli Vasquez, and other loving nieces and nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Seferino and Guadalupe Vasquez; her sister, Gloria Cruter; her brother, Seferino Vasquez Jr.; her daughter, Sandra Elizalde; and her son-in-law, Franklin D. Maresh.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at South Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1310 N. Main Street, Pearland, Texas.
