Margaret Uresti of Pearland, TX died peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on November 14, 2024.
Margaret is survived by her siblings: Minerva Gomez, Frances Luna, and Adan Gomez, by her three children: son, Edward Uresti and his wife, Jenny; daughter, Sophie Smith and her husband, Mario; daughter Rebecca Uresti, by her grand children: Tiffani Burgos-Uresti, her husband Alejandro Burgos-Uresti, Victoria Pevehouse, her husband Rustin Pevehouse, Andrew Smith, Alexandria Uresti, and Mario Smith, III, and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her husband Eradio “Shorty” Uresti, her parents Ramiro and Francisca Gomez, her grand daughters, Tania and Vanessa Uresti, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Burt.
Margaret was born on February 8, 1940 in Rio Grande City, Texas. She graduated from Edinburg High School in 1960. She worked at Edinburg Pharmacy where she met her husband, Eradio. They moved to Houston, Texas in 1963, then in 1972 they moved to Pearland, Texas.
Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her home was open to everyone, and no one left hungry. She loved music and dancing. Her family and friends will always remember her as kind, generous, and joyful.
