Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Tilbury's Obituary
On Friday, December 29, 2017, Margret (Betty) E Tilbury, 89, passed peacefully to join her beloved husband, Charlie in glory. Betty was a lifelong resident of Houston, moving her young family to Pearland in 1965. Her life’s work was that of a homemaker and mother, at which she excelled. Betty was involved in many craft and gardening activities and enjoyed working with her hands to produce beautiful needle point, quilts and other items of interest. She belonged to numerous organizations and clubs over the years to pursue those passions. She was a devoted wife and the loving matriarch of the Tilbury clan in Pearland. She was a true and faithful friend who never met a stranger.
Betty is survived by her three sons and daughter and their families: Chuck and Peggy Tilbury of Austin, TX and their children David (wife Robin) and Denise (husband Sergio), Dave and Hannah Tilbury of Richmond, TX and their children Tiffany (husband Tony) and David (fiancé Megan); Joe and Julie Tilbury of Pearland, TX and their son Eli; Liz and Rick Johnston of Crocket, TX and their son Larry (wife Kelly). Betty was also the proud great grandparent of 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as a host of extended family, loving friends, neighbors, and acquaintances.
Funeral arrangements have been made with South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX at 1310 North Main Street with the viewing and visitation scheduled for Wednesday evening, January 3rd from 5:00pm till 8:00pm. Memorial services with interment will follow on Thursday, January 4th at 10:00am at the South Park Cemetery. The family suggest that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
