Mrs. Margaret G. Coffey's Obituary
Margaret “Maggie” Gonzales Coffey passed away on Easter Sunday April 5, 2015. She was born in Rosenberg, Texas on March 12, 1936 to the late Marcus Gonzales and Adela Pena Gonzales. Maggie was a long time resident of Pearland and loved by many. She was known by most of the old time Pearlanders for her gracious reception of customers at local restaurants and also at her own restaurant (Maggie’s Wok). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnie P. Coffey, her sister Ruth Villaneuva and her brother, Marcus Gonzales,Jr. Maggie is survived by her brother Joe Gonzales and wife Sharon, sister Clara Sutton and husband Woody , sister Bea McClung and her husband Ronald, sister Alice Sandlin and her husband Jim, sister Pat Maginel and husband Bob and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8PM Thursday, April 9, 2015 at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland. A Celebration of Maggie’s Life will be held at 12:30PM Friday, April 10, 2015 at SouthPark Funeral Home of Pearland with Rev. Kent Landry officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
