Mrs. Mardra L. Hobbs' Obituary
Mardra Hobbs, 94, passed away into her Saviors arms on Sunday, April 26, 2015. She was born on October 21, 1920. Mardra had a wonderful life filled with happiness. She attended Jeff Davis High School where she was a Drum Major. She was a beautician and owner of Mardra Beauty Salon in Southwest Houston. After retiring she volunteered at the Star of Hope and the Hope Village with a group from Friendswood United Methodist Church. She was a faithful member of Friendswood United Methodist Church for many years while participating in Bible Studies Methodist Women and her Thursday Reunion Group. Mardra and her daughter, Cathy, went on a Walk to Emmaus and worked several walks. She was preceded in death by husband; Harnell Hobbs. Survivors include her daughter; Cathy Estlinbaum and husband Maurice of Friendswood, grandsons; Raoul and wife Kim of Corpus Christi, TX, Ray and wife Tina of Pearland, great-grandchildren; Lauren of Dallas, TX and Ryan of Pearland; and sister; Thelma Kenny of Friendswood. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Friendswood United Methodist Church, 110 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, TX 77546 with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations to Senior Adult Ministry at Friendswood United Methodist Church or Hope Village, 15403 Hope Village Road, Friendswood, TX 78456
