Marco Antonio Villegas' Obituary
Who was Marco Antonio Villegas
Born May 31st, 1957
During his childhood he was raised around a family of fishermen in a small beach town near Tampico Mexico called La Barra en playa Miramar in Ciudad Madero as he described to us was not an easy one but is where he learned the true meaning of hard work.
Then as a teenage boy he attended Edison Middle School in East Houston where he met long life friends. One of his stories that resonates with all his kids during family gatherings is that during one of their many shenanigans he and his close friends made over 40 other students run “making it seem that they were though guys” however he later said that it was that they were actually chasing him and his buddies.
He moved Houston where he met our mother in 1975, soon married her at his young tender age just shy of his 20th birthday in Houston Texas at famous Latin World in 1976. During this part of his life he enjoyed evenings with friends and as softball player then later enjoyed watching his Houston Astros at the Astro Dome.
He worked the night shift many years during his mid to late part of his life in the freezer warehouse food distribution industry, later worked in the metal building manufacturing industry and also held second job as a shuttle driver at the airport.
He recently retired only two years ago to care for our mother after a big scare where we almost lost her. Many of you know the story where he never left her sight. Then started once again enjoying each other’s company where they enjoyed eating out and going to the casinos. He enjoyed his grand children and rediscovered his love for fishing.
With that said, here is a letter to our dad…
Dear Dad,
Words cannot express the depth of sorrow and emptiness we feel since you left us just a few days ago unexpectedly and only two days after celebrating your 48th wedding anniversary. You were not just a father, but you were a husband, son, uncle, brother, grandpa. You had your unique way of showing us tough love however in the end raised a beautiful family the only way you knew how. For your grandchildren, you were a guiding light, a source of strength, and a constant reminder of what it means to be a good person. Your love, kindness, and wisdom touched the lives of everyone around you, and your absence is deeply felt.
For your children, you taught us the value of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family. Your unwavering support and belief in us gave us the confidence to chase our dreams and never give up. Your quirkiness personality and laughter filled our home with joy, and though although you were not normally an outspoken person, at important times of our lives your words of encouragement echoed in our hearts during challenging times.
You were a not a perfect man as most of us in this world however your were in peace with God, you showed us that through adversity and pain you stuck with our mother day and night during the most difficult time of her life. You, always leading by example and showing us the importance of honesty and compassion. Your legacy will forever live on through the countless lives you touched and the lessons you taught us.
Though we mourn your loss, we also celebrate the incredible life you lived. We remember the countless memories we shared, the laughter we enjoyed, and the love we felt. Your spirit will forever be a part of us, guiding us through life's challenges and reminding us to cherish every moment.
We find solace in knowing that you are now at peace, watching over us from above. Your memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and we will carry your love with us always.
Thank you for being the best father any of us could have asked for. We love you, we miss you, and we will continue to make you proud.
Rest in peace, dear Dad."

This is our “Thank You Card” for all our friends and family whether you were with us in person or in spirit.
Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you brought the family breakfast tacos, tamales, sweet bread and coffee.
Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say;
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part.
