Mr Manuel Joe Sanches' Obituary
Manuel Joe Sanches, 76, of Pearland, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015. He was born in San Benito, Texas on February 5, 1939 to Joe and Francisca Sanches.
Manuel “Little Joe” touched the lives of so many people. He thrived helping others and there wasn’t much he couldn’t do. And if he didn’t know how he would definitely figure out a way to get it done. If you were looking for him, you could find him most mornings at Lila’s Mexican restaurant where he spent time with friends and drinking coffee. He loved dancing to Zydeco and Conjunto music. He loved being with others just having fun. He also loved horses and everything rodeo and wore his cowboy hat, boots and jeans just about everywhere. He served on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Committee for over 10 years. He truly enjoyed riding horses and trail rides. He was always the first one up in the mornings and never on time for anything because he was always early. But he was a man of his word, if he said he was going to do something, he did it. Most importantly, he was always there for his family and friends whenever they needed him. He will definitely be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diamantina Gutierrez and her husband, Joel. He is survived by his partner, Mary Tamez; Sister, Becky Alderete; Children, Ruth Saenz and husband Mike, Cesar Sanches and wife Patricia, Darlene Casas and husband Eddie, Linda DeLeon, Yvonne Jimenez and husband Ernie, Robert Sanches and wife Machelle, Manuel Sanches, Jr; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 10:00AM until 8:00PM at SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 North Main St. Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday morning, August 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, TX 77581. Burial will follow at SouthPark Funeral Home. Immediately following the graveside service a reception will begin at the Dad’s Club, 5522 Fite Road, Pearland, TX 77581
