Manuel Alonso Isidro's Obituary
Manuel Alonzo Isidro, 73, passed away on January 17, 2020 in Houston, Texas. He was born to parents, Telesforo and Remedios Isidro on May 21, 1946 in Bataan, Philippines, and he was the third oldest in the family of 9 brothers and sisters. Known as the jokester in the family, he always made family and friends laugh. He was also very entrepreneurial, working at an early age to support the family. He attended Mapua Institute of Technology and graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he met his future wife Erlinda and they were married in June 1976 in the Philippines. From there, they traveled and worked internationally in the Middle East from 1976 through 1984 and during that period bore two sons Emmanuel and Earl in 1977 and 1979, respectively. In 1984, the family immigrated to the United States in Houston, Texas where they reside to this day.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Erlinda Ogania Isidro; two sons, Emmanuel “Manny” Isidro and wife Jackie, Ermanel “Earl” Isidro and wife Mari; two grandchildren, Ethan Isidro, Emma Isidro; three sisters, Carmelita, Agnes, Rosario; three brothers, Telesforo Jr., Eduardo, and Victor; as well as a host of friends and other family members.
Preceding him in death are his father, Telesforo Isidro; mother, Remedios Alonzo Isidro; two brothers, Leonardo Alonzo Isidro and Jose Alonzo Isidro.
Serving as pallbearers are Christopher Almaguer, Orlando Estrada, Ryan Macawili, Marc Cloutier, Ronel Ogania and Jojo Jitkaroon.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the chapel at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, Texas 77581; with a novena at 6:00 PM, Vigil Rites from 6:30 to 7:00 PM, and two testimonials from the brother Victor Isidro and the brother-in-law Fernando Del Rosario. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 9:30 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3617 Milam St., Houston, Texas 77002, with a committal service to follow at South Park Cemetery. There is a chance of rain so please bring an umbrella.
