Malini H Patel's Obituary
“Malini Patel, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in India and raised by her loving family after the untimely death of her mother, she came to the US as a teenager in 1960, married in July 1960, had her first child at the age of 20, became a US citizen, and was driven throughout her entire life to learn, step out of her comfort zone, and make every moment count. Her professional career compromised a rich diversity of positions. Most recently, she worked for MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston before retiring in 2016 after 25 years of dedicated service. Her most cherished role was as mother of her four children, providing nurturing love, encouragement, support, education, and support. She was a sweet star with an infectious smile. More importantly, she was in the small group of rare individuals who had an open and generous heart, demonstrated kindness to all, and always took care of others above and beyond her own needs. She was proceeded in death by her two sons. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and is survived by her husband of over 65 years, Harish Patel, daughters Shashi and Rita, and her numerous other beloved friends and relatives.
Visitation: Saturday, 10 am – 11 am, at the South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland. Texas 77581followed by a Cremation Service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the donor’s choice.”
