Mr. M. Robert Armstrong's Obituary
Robert was born to Ralph Paris Armstrong and Ruby Armstrong in Galveston, Texas on February 1, 1943 and passed away following a brief illness on November 12, 2008. Robert spent his life working in the pipeline industry both on and offshore that took him to the Gulf of Mexico and around the world. In his youth, he participated in rodeo and attended Sam Houston State University. He is preceded in death by his father Ralph Paris Armstrong, his mother Ruby Armstrong Kroschel, and brother Kenneth Ralph Armstrong. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Carolynn Armstrong, and his beloved grandson and fishing buddy, Dylan Hampsten. Robert Is also survived by his stepson Rocky, wife Tina, and their son Garrett, of Auburn, Washington; stepdaughter Dawn of Salt Lake City, Utah. In addition, he leaves brothers, Roger Kroschel Jr. of Freeport, Texas; Edwin "Buddy" Kroschel and wife Sue of Crosby, Texas; Dr. Forrest Kroschel of Halletsville, Texas; Mark Kroschel and wife Stephanie of Willis, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn his passing. As Robert wished, a celebration of his life will take place on Bastrop Bayou, 175 Garth St. Freeport, TX 77541, Under the Bridge on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
