Luis Gonzalez's Obituary
Luis Carlos González was born on June 16, 1958, in Camargo, Chihuahua to Crisostomo and Fortunata González. The youngest of four children, he was raised in a ranch with a close family shaped by values of Catholicism, faith, humility, and love for others.
Luis Carlos graduated from La Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua as a Civil Engineer. He worked in his field of study for some time and also as a mathematics professor. He was always a dreamer. He strived to do more for himself and his future family, so he decided to make the big move to the United States.
Eventually he gathered the little he had, sold his pig, and used those earnings to make the big move to Houston, Texas. He began working small mechanic jobs, was promoted to truck driver, and later became an owner operator for over 30 years.
Shortly after moving to Houston, he visited his parents in Camargo and fell in love with the girl next door, Maria Guadalupe “Lupita”. The two were married for 37.5 years. Together they had three children: Karina, Luis Carlos and Yadira. In recent years, he was promoted to Grandpa. He leaves behind grandchildren Sebastian, Mateo, Mila, and Leonardo. He was loved by all, and age was never a limit. He loved playing with his grandchildren, chasing after them, playing jokes on them, and especially dancing with them. The kids always knew if “Tito” was around, there would be music, disco balls, streaming lights, dancing, donuts, and so much fun.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, jovial grandfather, and faithful friend. He is remembered for his charisma, free spirit, loud singing, contagious laugh, and unwavering faith in God.
