Louis Anthony Agustus Gallio's Obituary
Louis Anthony Agustus Gallio
October 11, 1939 – November 15, 2025
Louis Anthony Agustus Gallio, born October 11, 1939, in Port Arthur, TX, was sent to his eternal home on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Pearland, TX, after a brief illness. Lou lived life with extraordinary energy, always on the move and never one to remain still for long. He met every opportunity and every challenge with a willing spirit and an unwavering determination.
After graduating from Byrne High School in May of 1958, Lou enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. In May 1960, he received Marine Guard Orders to report to the American Embassy in London and Paris. While in London, he met the love of his life, Patricia (“Pat”), who worked at the Embassy as a telephone operator. They married on July 27, 1963, and soon moved to Washington, DC, where their son, Peter, was born. In 1967, Lou had the opportunity to work as a hospital systems analyst (medical supply chain) to improve medical systems in Vietnam, for an 18-month contract. Once over, they moved to Manassas, VA, where their daughter, Angela, was born. However, the following year, another opportunity arose for Lou to help start up a frozen beverage operation in Bangkok, Thailand, the “ICEE.” Three years later (1973), they moved to Dallas.
Deeply proud of his Sicilian heritage, he found joy in preparing meals for those he loved—whether it was his homemade sauce, Italian sausage, meatloaf, or something crafted from leftovers. Nothing made him happier than a full table surrounded by family and friends. He welcomed everyone with open arms, believing there was always room for more. Hosting and entertaining brought him so much joy. Lou had always kept in touch with his friends and cousins he grew up with in Port Arthur. The year after the devastating loss of Patricia (“Pat”) in 2001, he was invited to a Mardi Gras Ball in Port Arthur. This is where he met Cindy, who became his rock and loving companion for the next 22 years. Living in Manvel, on acreage, enjoying the outdoors, and embracing her family as if they were his own. Cindy’s children loved and respected him with all their hearts, and to her grandchildren, Lou was known as their PaPa. Together, they started a very successful event planning company that is still thriving today. He also pursued his love for writing and successfully published three books: Omega-Alpha, Omega Alpha NX2, and his final work, a memoir, Chevy at the Levee. Lou was an entrepreneur, pilot, musician, author, proud Marine, and a man of faith who embraced every day with purpose and passion. While living in Manvel, he was approached by the Baptist Church, which needed a drummer. He was a faithful Catholic who rarely missed Mass, but happily agreed, and adjusted his schedule: Mass on Saturday evenings and the Baptist Church on Sunday mornings, where he formed close friendships - a reminder that sharing our gifts and stepping beyond our comfort zones can build connections regardless of differences in background
or faith.
Above all, he treasured his family. A dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle, PaPa, and friend - he was someone you could always rely on. Though he will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace, reunited with loved ones, and held in God’s embrace. His memory continues through the love and passion he poured into those he cared for and the pursuits he held dear, a legacy that continues to inspire all who knew him.
Lou is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Josephine Gallio, wife, Patricia Gallio; son, Peter Gallio; brothers, Robert Gallio and Billy Gallio; and sister, Lillian Dunford; brother-in-law, John McInulty, and many friends who were dear to his heart. Survived by daughter, Angela Green and husband, Ronnie and grandson Gavin of Richardson; beloved companion, Cindy Kutch of Manvel, TX; Justin Kutch and children, Skylar and Jax of Spring, TX; Eric Kutch and spouse, Allison Wahl and children, Carter and Alex of Sugar Land, TX; sisters, Sandra Kennon of Farmington, MO and Mary Umfleet of Fenton, MO; niece, Kristin Stooksberry and husband Spencer and their sons, Jackson and Jonah of Rockwall, TX; sister-in-law, Jackie McInulty and nephews, Paul and Mark McInulty all of the UK. He also leaves behind many more beloved family members and friends who were, in every sense, family to him. A memorial service will be held on December 13, 2025, at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Manvel, 6900 Masters Rd, Manvel, TX 77578. A celebration of life will also be held in Dallas in January – to be announced.
