In Loving Memory of Lonnie Doyle Roe
February 16, 1942 - March 17, 2025
Our beloved patriarch, Lonnie Doyle Roe, departed this life on March 17, 2025, at the age of 83. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished grandfather and great grandfather, and a guiding light because of his strong faith as a believer in Jesus Christ. He dearly loved, obeyed, and trusted his Saving Lord in and through all happenings and trials. His love and strong faith will be remembered by all who knew him.
Born on February 16, 1942, in Tahoka, Texas, Lonnie grew up with strong values of hard work, integrity, and love for family. Throughout his life, he embodied these values, becoming a pillar of strength and wisdom for those around him.
A man of unwavering faith and kindness, he dedicated his life to his family and community involvement. Whether through his words of encouragement, his quiet acts of generosity, or his steadfast support, he left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
His greatest joy was his family. He built a legacy of love, ensuring that his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always knew the importance of unity, respect, and resilience. His lessons will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Paulette Roe, his beloved son, Chris Paul Roe, his treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He is now reunited with his daughter, Darlene Watson, who went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2000, and is watching over us with love.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, Texas 77581.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the legacy he leaves behind—a life well-lived, filled with love, wisdom, and an unbreakable bond with those he held dear.
Rest in peace, Lonnie Doyle Roe. Your love and guidance will remain with us always.
