Mrs. Lissy David's Obituary
Lissy David was born on May 27th, 1961 to the Late Mrs. Mariyamma Koshy and Late T.T. Koshy in Mathoor, Kerala. After finishing her high school education at Kuzhumalihikad Government High School and college education at TKM College of Arts and Science, located in Karikode, Kollam, she completed her nursing education at Jeslok Hospital in Mumbai, India. Lissy was married to David Lukose (Joychen) in June of 1984. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1985 to join her husband and start her new family life. Lissy began her professional career at St. Luke’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse and provided dedicated service for the past 29 years.
She was called to eternity on December 29, 2017 in the midst of prayers surrounded by her husband and two children. She is survived by her husband, Joychen, daughter, Sherline, and son, Shobin. She is also survived by her brother, Sabu Koshy, who resides in Muscat, Oman and sister, Suni Bijoy, who resides in Mumbai, India.
She was a devoted mother, loving wife, and compassionate friend. She enjoyed cooking new dishes, eating at new restaurants, traveling to new places, and spending time with her friends and family. Her love for her family was unmatched to her dedication and service to her patients, and our mother always warmly remembered their appreciation. She was a firm believer in our Savior Jesus Christ and an active participant of Trinity Mar Thoma Church organizations, including Yuvajana Sakhyam. She was widely admired, deeply loved, and will be truly missed by all.
