Linda Lazard Hoeveler's Obituary
Linda Lazard Hoeveler was born December 19, 1950 as the fifth of seven children in Shreveport, LA. She attended Bethune High School; prior to graduating, she participated in band where she played the flute, and a host of other social activities including her participation in the Ms. Evergreen pagent. She carried her love of music with her throughout her life as she played the piano and ensured each of her children played an instrument at some point in their lives.
Linda was a “jack of all trades” and held many job titles. She was a nursing assistant for many years, she sold Mary Kay, worked as a bank teller, was a director of senior programs, and she retired as a reservationist for Southwest Airlines. Always the creative type, she learned many skills in her life from painting to sewing, and creating paper goods to simple wood working. Her creativity inspired and transferred to her children and grandchildren as well.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Mack Fields and Olivia Lewis, her first husband Iris Lazard, and her sister Wanda. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Hoeveler, her four children Kevin (Mary Lazard), Kesha, ZaWaunyka (Timmy Smith), and Tasany; her 8 grandchildren Anthony, Taurus Jr., Allen, Brandon, Ammanuel, Attiyah, Jaxon Brody, and Zaylani; and her 2 great grandchildren Taurus III and Blu; and her siblings Beverly Bass, Pastor Lee Tebo, Barbara Volcy, Lisa Brown, and Sandra Samuel.
