Mrs. Linda DeLange Bennett's Obituary
LINDA DeLANGE BENNETT born on September 9, 1948 in Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband and best friend, Gary Bennett. Also surviving Linda, daughter Allison Revilla and son-in-law Ramon Revilla, mother, Bettie DeLange, brother, Steve DeLange and wife, Jacalyn. She was known as Nana to her grandchildren, Jonathan Woodall, Ramon Revilla, William Jung, Cody Bond, and Emily Bond. She absolutely doted on and adored her grandchildren. Linda is also survived by nieces, Lyndsey Hagan and Eren DeLange. She was predeceased by her beloved father, A. L. "Bud" DeLange. Linda knew her time was short here on this earth and said "I win either way. I will either have more time to spend with the love of my life here or spend eternity with my loving heavenly father". Linda was a gifted artist and seamstress, had a great sense of humor, and was a loving friend. She had a wonderful spirit and open heart and leaves a legacy of unconditional love and acceptance of family in every form. Linda graduated from Pearland High School in 1966. She attended Sam Houston University, Huntsville, Texas. Linda retired from the James E. Brill, P.C. law firm after almost 30 years of service during which time she became the first legal assistant to join the American Bar Association. Working alongside her mentor and great friend, Jimmy Brill, she was a major contributor to the Texas Probate System published by the State Bar of Texas. Linda was also a member of South Main Baptist Church, Pasadena, Texas. She will be greatly missed by her family and a host of friends. We were blessed in knowing her. Visitation will be on Monday, November 9, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with funeral services on Tuesday, November 10, 2010 at 12:30 p.m., both at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main, Pearland, Texas 77581.
