Lillian Marie Pemberton's Obituary
Lillian Marie Pemberton, 94, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Harold and Lillian Jones, and carried throughout her life the warmth, strength, and devotion instilled in her by her family.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Lillian was an active and cherished member of the Sagemont Church community. She faithfully attended services and bible studies, volunteered in the church bookstore, and found great joy singing in the choir. Her faith and service were central to her life and an inspiration to those around her.
Lillian was an educator, a housewife, and later had a successful career in insurance management from which she eventually retired. She also embraced an active lifestyle and especially enjoyed swimming, a pastime that brought her both happiness and vitality throughout the years.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bill Pemberton, her son, David Pemberton, her brother, Harold Jones, her sister, Dolores Blanchett, her parents, Harold Jones & Lillian Borgo, & special aunts, Marguerite Walker & Marie Minor. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Franklin; her daughter, Sherri Wagner & family: granddaughter, Heather & great grandson, Skylar; her son, Daniel Pemberton & family: granddaughter, Jessica & great granddaughter, Linnea Eleanora; granddaughter, Olivia & great granddaughters, Madasyn Grace & Emelie Annalise, & great grandson, Blake Reiken; granddaughter, Christina Helaina; her late son, David Pemberton’s family: grandsons, Joshua & Korey, granddaughters, Kimberly & Sarah, great granddaughters, Lexie Rae, Kenlie Marie, & Emerie Ann & great grandson, Ronan.
She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Bill, at Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lillian’s memory to Sagemont Church.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
