On Monday, May 27th, 2019, Leslie Gene Taylor-Morris left her earthly body behind and claimed her place in the kingdom of heaven. Leslie Gene was born January 30th, 1933 to Robert Leo Taylor and Ada Patricia May Taylor in Waco, Tx.
From her first steps to her last, Leslie lived a life full of color. People were drawn to both her character and her heart which is evident by the lasting friendships she developed and the philanthropic endeavors she undertook. Leslie, along with her late husband Jackie Morris, were true symbols of what hard-work and perseverance can accomplish. Throughout her 86 years of life, Leslie obtained great success and carried many titles including business woman, friend, wife, mother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
She is survived by one daughter, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Leslie enjoyed nothing more than sharing her stories with everyone around her. She was person of compassion, strength and resolve. Leslie’s last wish was that those she has left behind celebrate her life and not dwell on her loss.
