Mr. Leroy H. Hlinsky's Obituary
Leroy H. Hlinsky, age 89 of Rosharon, Texas, passed away peacefully at home December 1, 2015.
Leroy was born June 26, 1926, in Ellinger, Texas, to Willie Hlinsky and Mary Orsak Hlinsky. He served in the United States Army 1944-1946 in the Philippines. Leroy was a retired truck driver. He was a long time member and volunteer of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Leroy enjoyed listening to polka music and was proud of his Czech heritage.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; sister Evelyn Girdnt and husband, Robie; and brother-in-law Albert Prasifka. Leroy is survived by his wife, Honora of Rosharon; three daughters; Linda Guin and husband Kenneth of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Brenda Gaidosek and husband William of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Annette Hernandez and husband Alfonzo of Sugar Land, Texas; one son, Richard Hlinsky and wife Diedra of New Braunfels, Texas, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and sister Ruby Prasifka of Columbus, Texas.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, including a rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at South Park Funeral Home.
