281-485-2711 Mr. Leonard Charles Dunford was born on April 29, 1921 in Elyria, Ohio and passed away on August 15, 2009 in Houston, Texas. He had moved to Houston in the early 1950's and then to Pearland in 1972. He served in the Army Air Corps and met his wife during this time. He was a Past Master of Walter M. Pierson Lodge #1384, past Patron of Norma D. Allen #1050 O.E.S, member of C.F. Spencer Lodge #1339, Magnolia Chapter # 706,O.E.S., Pearland #1065 O.E.S. , the Scottish Rite and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for 65 years. Also he had been a member of the Pearland Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Agnes Dunford, brothers, Earl & Russell Dunford, and his wife Jane Dunford. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Lucy Ann & Michael Martin and David & Cammy Dunford; grandchildren, Meredith & Steven Cipres, Jeremy & Amanda Dunford and great grandson, Tyler Cipres. A visitation will be held at the South Park Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday. Funeral services and interment will be held at South Park Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2009. If desired donations can be made to the Shriner's Hospital. www.shrinershq.org/Shrine/..
