Leland was a roll call sgt on the evening shift and was reading off stolen vehicles and tried to pronounce a Baracuto, This was a new vehicle that had just come out and was had to pronunce so some us said it was a back a ruta . That stuck and he pronounced it that was ever time one was reported stolen.He also called the paddy wagon a double wheeled bread truck. He was a great guy and may he rest in peace
My dad, Mandel Alsup, and Bueford we're best friends, like brothers although my dad was his uncle. My dad simply adored and loved Bueford more than any other relatives including his own brothers. They were close in age, and had a tremendous love for each other. I loved Bueford. He was quiet, kind, very respectful, and always friendly. I had not seen Bueford in a long while as distance and time tend to rob us of distant relationships. I remember his smile, his voice, his gentle nature, and his kindness to me. I am sure that he and my dad are once again enjoying each other. I look forward to seeing him again and feeling one of his strong hugs. Love and prayers to the family. May you always feel his presence through you memories. ❤️
I am so glad that I had the opportunity to get to know my big brother better in his latter years. He was sweet, kind, funny, and dignified. He told me stories of his youth and of his younger days as a rookie police officer. He worked hard to make something of himself and in my opinion he more than succeeded.
