Mr. Lee Otis Kelso's Obituary
Lee O. Kelso, 84, loving husband, father and granddaddy passed away peacefully Saturday, November 21, 2015. Lee was born in Chapel Hill, TX on March 31, 1931, the fourth of five children to Alice and Thomas Jefferson Kelso and raised in Houston, TX.
Mr. Kelso graduated in 1950 from Stephen F. Austin High School. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army in the Guided Missile Division at the White Sands Proving Grounds between 1951 and 1953, discharging to Reserve status until April 1, 1958 when he was Honorably Discharged. Lee was employed at Continental Emsco for 17 years; South Coast Machine Works for 8 years; Cactus Pipe & Supply as Division Head for 9 years; Ingram Cactus as Plant Manager for 3 years; finally retiring in 1992. Lee was a member of Covenant of Faith United Methodist Church of Pearland and of American Legion Post 521 in Pasadena, TX.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of nearly 20 years, Evelyn Kelso; 4 children, Leslie Kelso & wife Gladys; Karen Crites & husband Jerry; Jeff Kelso & Lori Goodbrake; Greg Kelso & Dee Davis; step-daughter Karen Taylor & husband James; 8 grandchildren, Michael Calhoun & Tracy Hamilton; Jeffrey Kelso & wife Traci; Mark Crites & wife Katherine; Crystal Thompson & husband Troy; Jaclyn Uribe & husband Randy; Brady McMahon & husband Matt; Edward Lundell & Angela Farris; Austin Kelso; 3 step-grandchildren, Jessica, Jenna & Jamie Taylor; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Pete) Kelso & wife Margaret; sister-in-law Jo Kelso and many nieces & nephews. Lee is preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia Kelso; brother, T.J. Kelso; sisters, Urlene Paulk & Geneva Hahn.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 between 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with services set for 2:00 PM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 N Main St, Pearland, TX 77581
