Mr. Lee Daugherty's Obituary
Vardmon “Lee” Daugherty of Deer Park Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the age of 87. He was born March 16, 1927 in Houston Texas.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents Vard and Alma, brother Elbie and infant daughter Linda Darlene. Lee is survived by his loving wife Lillian of 67 years, son Tommy and wife Sherri, daughter Paula Crandall and husband Michael, daughter Ginger Stavely and husband Tommy. His grand-children Charles Daugherty and wife Stacy, Curtis Daugherty and wife Stephanie, Eric Crandall, Erin Crandall and Emily Crandall-Wilbanks and husband Jason. Lee is also survived by eleven great-grand-children.
Lee was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School and then enlisted into the Army where he proudly served from 1945 to 1947 as an MP of the 67th Military Police Platoon. He married Lillian the love of his life in October 1947. He raised his family in Pasadena while working and retiring from Shell Chemical as a shipping supervisor after 38 years. Lee loved his church and served as a Deacon at South Avenue Baptist Church. He currently attended First Baptist Deer Park. In his retirement years he and his wife loved traveling and camping across the US and into Canada and Mexico. They also enjoyed square dancing and have numerous friends that they met along the way.
Lee was a loving husband, awesome father and grand-father. We love you and will miss you. We will always keep you in our hearts and treasure all the memories you left with your family and friends.
