Mrs. Lawana Wynette Sharp's Obituary
Lawana Wynette Sharp, 57, went home to be with her first Love and Savior on Monday, June the 9, 2014. She was born June 30, 1956 to Richard Lee and Jessie Lee Sappington. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and above all else a servant of her Living God whom she loved with a passion that was only rivaled by her love for her family. She had a mission minded soul and would take every opportunity to share her witness to just about anyone who would listen, and Heaven is rejoicing at her homecoming. She was a Navy wife, then a homemaker which was a calling she dived into with all her heart and soul. Her father and mother, Richard and Jessie Sappington preceded her in death. Lawana is survived by: her faithful and loyal husband of 40 years, George Dennis Sharp; sister Judy Lynn Syler and husband Bryan, their children Brandon and Brandy, and their families; brother Felton Lee Sapppington and wife Donna, their children Felisha and Taleen, and their families; loving son Richard George Sharp and wife Kaylyn, their children Nathaniel and Lila; loving son Greg Dennis Sharp and wife Kristin, their children Madelyn and Ashlyn with another girl on the way; loving son Derek Lee Sharp; mother in love Vivle Maurine Sharp; sister in love Sharon Hansen and husband Chuck, their children Eric and Sarah, and their families; brother in love Kenneth Sharp and wife Terri, their children Bradley, Brandon and Brittani, and their families; Kelly Menke and husband John, and their children Michael and Mark. Lawana's life and love touched many people, and I believe we are all better for having been blessed to know her. To God be the glory, and let us remember to live our lives in love and service as she so deeply strived to in her own. Her JOY was Jesus first, others second, and Yourself last. The Lord in Heaven needed another soprano for the angel choir so he called Lawana home. The family will receive friends Friday, June 13, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services to honor her life will be held Saturday, June 14, 2015 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 North Main St., Pearland, Texas 77581.
