Laura and I were great friends in high school, but unfortunately went our separate ways once we graduated. She was a great friend and partying partner back in the day. She was always smiling no matter what was going on in her world. I remember one night while heading to the club, we were riding down the expressway and there was a car coming head on in the wrong direction. Laura and I started freaking out and luckily were able to avoid a head on collision. Instead of panicking, she started flashing her lights and honking the horn to try to get the driver's attention as we moved to the shoulder to safety. Luckily we escaped what could have been a great disaster. Another time, we spend the night at her parent's house during a hurricane and we were outside laughing and jumping around with no worry in the world. No matter the situation, she always remained calm. She will be missed dearly.
