Larry Wayne Lorino's Obituary
Larry Wayne Lorino, of Pearland, Texas, was called home to be with his Lord on Father’s Day, June 21, 2026. He passed away peacefully at the age of 80, surrounded by his family who loved him beyond measure.
Born in Houston, Texas, on May 26, 1946, to Earl and Cecelia Lorino, Larry lived a life rooted in faith, devotion, and joy. Above all else, he cherished his relationship with his Lord and his deep love for his family.
Larry dedicated many years of service to his community, church and career, retiring as the Director of Printing and Graphic Services at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston in 2008. A steadfast pillar of his faith, he also served honorably as a Deacon and the Treasurer of Horizon Baptist Church for 38 years.
Outside of his work and ministry, Larry had a passion for the open water and loved sailing. He was also a talented videographer who captured life's precious moments, beautifully creating lasting memories for everyone around him. Larry’s quick wit, vibrant sense of humor, and legendary practical jokes kept everyone laughing and on their toes. He lived to bring people together, keeping family traditions alive and making every moment spent with his loved ones truly special.
Larry is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 53 years, Jackie Lorino. His legacy lives on through his children: son Britt Lorino and his wife Donna; and daughters Kara Clark and her husband Chance, and Rachel Brannon and her husband Stephen.
He was the proud grandfather of Jeremy (Kaitlin) Lorino, Tyler (Irene) Krpec, Melanie (Max) Ziegler, Jonathan (Brianna) Lorino, Isabella Lorino, Justin Brannon, and Parker Brannon. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Jeremy Lorino, Jr., Elliot Lorino, Theodore Ziegler, and Jonathan Lorino, Jr.
Larry was reunited in heaven with his parents, Earl and Cecelia Lorino, as well as his brother, Dusty Lorino, and his sister, Cate Lorino.
Those who knew Larry will forever remember him for his caring heart, his infectious humor, and his unwavering kindness. His love, guidance, and joyful presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service to celebrate Larry Lorino’s life will be held on Sunday, June 28th at 3:00 PM at SouthPark Funeral Home and Memorial Park, located at 1310 N Main St, Pearland, Texas, 77581.
