He resided in California with his family for several years before relocating to Houston, Texas. Kirk graduated from Westbury Senior High School, Houston, Texas in 1969. He enjoyed his work as a chemical applicator until his health failed him in 2010. He loved the outdoors and traveling. His pleasures included yard work, car races and spending time at the family lake house. A great joy in his life was spending time with his family and wife at his home in Rosharon. Kirk had a great sense of humor and loved to rib people, especially his wife. He and his grandson spent countless hours riding his tractor and hanging out by the ponds and he lit up every time he was in his presence. Kirk was saved in Christ our Lord August 2012 and was a member of Southview Baptist Church of Rosharon Texas. After a prolonged battle with cancer he passed peacefully surrounded by his family on November17th 2012.
