Mrs. Kathleen Rose Henry's Obituary
Kathleen Sullender Henry left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior on November 20, 2016. She was born on February 24, 1925, and moved to Houston, Texas from Waco, Texas in 1929 with her family. After she graduated from Milby High School, she began working as an elevator operator in downtown Houston and many years later retired from the work force at Sears. Kathleen married Herschel “Billy” Henry, the love of her life, who preceded her in death in 1991. Kathleen and Billy enjoyed fishing, playing cards and socializing with family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted son; Jerry Henry, daughter; Jackie Stevens and son-in-law; Scott Stevens. In addition she is remembered lovingly as the best MeMe who always had time to sit and play and to love her grandchildren; Erin Henry, Abigail Stevens and Jennifer Stevens, along with her great grandchildren Penelope Williams and Cameron Asaf. Kathleen was a loving Auntie to her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews as well as being blessed with a host of friends.
The family would like to acknowledge the loving care she received by the staff at Baywind Village Skilled Nursing Center.
