Karen Lynn Semanek entered the loving arms of Our Lord on January 10, 2026 at the age of 68 years old. Karen Semanek was born in Fremont, OH on October 6, 1957 to Thomas Merlin Matuszewski and Joyce Wilma Matuszewski.
Karen Semanek dedicated her life to being attorney and helping people mostly with car accident litigation. She was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. She liked to read and was really big into politics. She traveled all over the country for her work which she really enjoyed. She graduated from J Frank Dobie High School in 1975. She graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1987. She loved being attorney because she helped people when they were at their lowest.
Karen Semanek is preceded in death by her father Thomas Merlin Matuszewski, her mother Joyce Wilma Matuszewski, and her ex-husband Wayne George Semanek.
Karen Semanek will always be remembered by her son Thomas Edward Semanek, her sister Sharon Thomason and husband Mark Thomason, her sister Jeannine Hillis and husband Timothy Hillis, and sister Kathy Haley and husband Roy Haley. Also various nieces and nephews.
The viewing for Karen Semanek is on Friday January 30, 2026 from 4-5 for family and 5-8 from anyone that wished to pay respects to the deceased at South Park Funeral Home. The service will be on Saturday January 31, 2026 at 2 pm South Park Funeral Home.
