Mr. Julius "Cimmie" Cimrhanzel's Obituary
Julius "Cimmie" Cimrhanzel, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Thursday, November 14th at his home. He was born in Flatonia, Texas to Jacob and Otilia Cimrhanzel. He is survived by Elnora, his devoted wife of 63 years; son, Donald and wife Laurie; daughters, Karen Cimrhanzel, Sharon Peterson and husband Larry and grandson Matthew Peterson and step-granddaughter, Laurie and husband Mark Herridge and two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Julius graduated from Shiner High School in 1943 then went into the service where he served in the Philippines as a gunman under McArthur. He was discharged in 1946 and came to Houston to work. He started at Gardner Hotel Supply for several years, then Wilson Stationary and Printing until retirement. After retirement, he became interested in mobile home parks and that kept him occupied until his death. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, his two sisters and his five brothers. He will always be remembered for his love to give and help others. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20th from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home. Interment will follow at SouthPark Resurrection Cemetery.
