Ventura, Julia's Obituary
The heavens shine a little brighter today with the homegoing of Julia Ventura, who went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2026, after blessing this world with 100 years of strength, grace, and a beautifully lived life.
Born on December 10, 1925, in her beloved hometown of Santa María del Río, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Julia later moved to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, where she built her home and became a deeply loving, hardworking, and devoted mother. Two of her sons, Jorge and Fernando, welcomed her into eternity, while five children continue to honor her legacy: Juany, Cristina, Jesús, Beatriz, and Angélica. Julia eventually settled in Houston, Texas, where she lived for many years, joyfully watching her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren grow.
She poured all her faith and love into the Lord and faithfully attended her cherished Filadelfia Missionary Church, always lifting her family and friends in prayer.
Julia delighted in life’s simple joys—going out for ice cream, sitting outside to listen to the birds sing, and feeling the warmth of the sun on her face. She enjoyed going out to eat with family and drinking a cup of coffee. She treasured having company and spoke with deep affection about her beautiful birthplace, Santa María del Río, San Luis Potosí, a place she always dreamed of visiting again. She was loving, friendly, and made wonderful friends everywhere she went.
A home‑going service, viewing, and burial will be held at South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on May 19, 2026, at 9 a.m. Her family extends their heartfelt thanks for all the prayers and love received.
Julia’s family will forever miss her beautiful smile, the joy of sharing a warm cup of coffee with her, and, above all, her gentle and caring spirit.
