Judy was, or is, my little sister because she still lives within my heart. I was 2 & one half years old when Dr. Boggs came up the front steps to our house carrying his black doctor's bag. We lived in Spring, Texas and in those days doctors still made house calls.
Lola, our oldest sister, told me that Dr.Boggs brought Judy in his black bag. I don't remember having much sibling rivalry or "spats" with Judy, but if we did, they were few and far between. Seems like we always got along together unlike many brothers and sisters. Even into our teen years when our lives were spent trying to find ways to earn money to buy clothes or things for the family. I went to work during the summers and after school and on weekends at age 13 and Judy quite school and went to work as a waitress when she was about 15 years old. Our teen years weren't spent with much interaction between us. Judy married when she was 16 and soon began her own family. Even then, we shared whatever we had and Judy was always ready to share whatever she had with anyone in need, Judy was never selfish. She once took up a collection at Christmas for a lady in my church who was jobless, had cancer and supporting a young son. I mentioned the situation to Judy and soon she came forward with money for the lady. Not nearly anywhere near perfect, but as Jesus said, " in as much as you did it unto them, you did it unto me".
Always in my heart.
Love you always, Bubba
