Mrs. Judith Ann Boemio's Obituary
Judith Ann Boemio passed away peacefully on March 22, 2011 at the age of 67 with family by her side. Judy was born in Waco, TX in 1944 to Roland and Ella Mae Rowe.
Judy grew up in Pearland, TX. and married her husband Pete in 1963. They moved to Houston in 1964 and were married for 42 years until Pete's passing. Judy was a registered member of the Cherokee Nation since 1981 and was very proud of her Cherokee heritage. She enjoyed ceramics and cross stitching. She loved to read and was an avid genealogist. Judy loved her family and friends with all of her heart. She will always be remembered for her for her love, kindness, and generosity. She had a special love for her granddaughters who will always cherish their memories of grandma Judy. Judy is survived by her son Mark Boemio and wife Michelle, grandchildren Brianna and Kara Boemio; sister Patricia Allenday and husband Lawrence; brother Robert Rowe and wife Janice; brother Roger Rowe and wife Sheila and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that she cherished and loved.
Judy had a short, but fierce battle the last weeks of her life that she fought with strength, courage and determination. We can take comfort knowing that now she is with God and reunited with Pete. A bible verse sums it up well: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (II Timothy 4:7)
We love you Jude; you are in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 3-26-11 at 1:00 PM at Sagemont Church.
