Juanita J. Sanchez's Obituary
Juanita J. Sanchez, age 77, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 12, 1948, in Rio Hondo, Texas.
Juanita is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Pedro B. Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Sr. and Trinidad Jaramillo; brothers Oscar Jaramillo and Adan Rodriguez; sisters Dora Salinas and Diana Ochoa; children Rosalva Hernandez and Jesus Sanchez; and granddaughter Terra Morgan.
Juanita was a loving, compassionate woman — a devoted wife, caring mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend. She fiercely loved and defended her children, always putting family first. She worked as a Medical Administrator throughout her life, dedicating herself to helping others with professionalism and heart.
Fun-loving and full of life, she enjoyed dancing, laughing, and margaritas in her younger years. Juanita was passionate about her Astros and Texans, loved Disney movies, and cherished watching old westerns with her beloved husband, Pedro. She loved traveling and vacationing with Pedro, often sharing their favorite snack — Coca-Cola and peanuts — along the way. She found peace near the water, watching ships pass by, and especially loved decorating for Christmas and surrounding herself with her cherished Angels. Most of all, she poured her heart into caring for Pedro, the love of her life.
She is survived by her children:
John Jaramillo, Joseph Morgan (Amanda), Rosemary O’der (Randy), Rachel Cortez (Gilbert), Sandra Vonderau (Brian), Pete Sanchez (Dawn), Melissa Brookland † (Tripp), and Ram Sanchez † (Sabrina).
Her siblings include:
Guadalupe Aguirre † (Hilario), Delia Govea (Clemente), Francisco Jaramillo (Dora), Jose Jaramillo Jr. (Leonarda), Yolanda Tomkins † (Jeff), and Mary Frost † (Daryl).
She was the proud grandmother of 36 grandchildren:
John N., Mary, Jonathon, Trinity, J.J., Robert, Amber, Raymond, Victoria, Michelle, Jennifer, Jason, Jonathan, Olivia, Juan, Angelica, Damaris, Joshua, Gilbert III, Lupe, Monica, Michael, Heather, Gerry, Matthew, Michael, Nate, Kyle, Kevin, Holly, Pete III, Sheridan, Vincent, Halen, Alexandra, Savannah, and Diego.
Great-grandmother to 67, and great-great-grandmother to 3.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their prayers, support, and presence during this time.
