Pastor Juan Joel Gutierrez, 64 went to be with The Lord September 24, 2021. Pastor Juan Joel was born May 5, 1957, in Hidalgo N.L. He was the 6th child of Antonio Gutierrez and Amelia Del Bosque. He arrived in Houston, Tx in 1978 where he met the love of his life Maria Gutierrez in 1979. They married at their local church in Houston, Texas Iglesia Rosa de Saron on July 18, 1981. Pastor Juan Joel began his ministry as an evangelist in 1984 and founded his church Iglesia Centro de Liberacion in 1991. One of his ultimate desires was to one day own a radio station. His desire came to pass in 2017. Radio Shalom went on the air in August of 2017. His passion was to work for Jesus, and he did it until the day he took his last breath. Pastor Juan Joel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a man who never met a stranger. His greatest love was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and one of his favorite games to play with them was hide and go seek. He made it a point to share Jesus with everyone he met. He knew the only reason he was on earth was because one day He made the decision to say yes to Jesus and he wanted everyone to know.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria G. Gutierrez, his two daughters Maribel Duenez and Damaris Gutierrez, three grandchildren, Christian Chapa, Steve Duenez Jr., and Mia’bella Duenez. Brothers, Antonio Gutierrez, Eloy Gutierrez, Jesus Gutierrez, Jaime Gutierrez and Heriberto Gutierrez. Sisters, Victoria Mendez and Patricia Gutierrez. Preceded in death by his father, Antonio Gutierrez, his mother, Amelia Del Bosque, and his brother Luis Gutierrez
