Ellis, Joyce's Obituary
Joyce Gerlene Ellis born January 21st, 1936 in Manor Texas, passed away peacefully May 29th, 2025 at the age of 89 years. She is preceded in death by her mother Verona Crider, brother Donald Amsler, and infant son Jerry Dean Ward and Michael Ray Ward. She is survived by her children Cindy Jo Martinez, Chester Ward, Kenneth Ward, and Donnie Ellis, as well as numerous grand and great grand children, in laws, and outlaws, you know who you are! After a long, successful career as an executive for the Joske's Department Store Corporation, she retired to open the Green Onion restaurant here in Pearland, where she was known for her coconut cream pies and homemade cinnamon rolls. Joyce was deeply loved by all of her family and friends, but was ready to meet her Creator. No Doubt she will surely be missed by us all. God bless and keep her.
