Mrs. Josephine Philomena Schneider's Obituary
Josephine "Josie" Schneider, 79, passed from this life December 21, 2008 with her family at her side. Josie was born to her parents Joseph and Sally Proctor on October 29, 1929, in Stockton, England. In 1946, she met her future husband, Bill Schneider, while he was a POW in England during World War II. In 1948, they were married in a big formal Catholic wedding. They were sponsored for entry to the United States in 1952 by Bill's uncle, Frank Scheller, and lived in Louisiana before moving to Houston in 1959. Josie had a passion for music and dance, and will always be remembered for it. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters and her loving husband of 54 years Bill. She is survived by her sister Winifred Burke; 3 children William Schneider of Houston, Frank Schneider and his wife Deborah of Victoria, and Linda Myers and her husband Carl of Rosenberg; Grandchildren Natalie Glave and her husband Steve, Rachel Denton and her husband Aaron, Kimberly Mount and her husband Scott, and Andrew Schneider and his wife Careis; 8 Great-Grandchildren Grayson and Kurt Glave, Axel Denton, Alexander and Addison Mount, Maycen, Camrin, and Kaelin Schneider; and numerous friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Atria Sugar Land for all the love and care given to Josie for the past three years. They have been a blessing to our family and will forever be remembered for their outstanding care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans or to the Sunshine Kids. A Celebration of Life will be held at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland on January 6, 2009 at 1:00.
