Joseph David Micheletti's Obituary
Joseph David Micheletti, 84, was born on July 20, 1939 in Galveston, Texas to Matthew Micheletti & Carmen Helne Tabracci and he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 25, 2023 peacefully at his residence in Santa Fe, Texas while surrounded by his loving family. He attended parochial schools and graduated from Kirwin High School in 1957; right after, he joined the Marine Corp in 1957 with the 3Rd. AmTrac Co, USMCR in Galveston, Texas. He was employed by TCR, volunteered with the employees' recreational club and retired in 2001 from Valero Energy as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Texas City.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years of marriage, Anita; daughters, Victoria Micheletti Dalton & husband Charles Dalton, Kimberly Doreck & husband John Doreck, Jr., and Adrienne Micheletti & husband Brian Head; grandsons, Christopher Doreck & wife Felicia and Seth Dalton; brothers, Matthew Micheletti & wife Rose, and Carlo Micheletti & wife Karen; nieces and nephews, Joey Micheletti, Juliana Micheletti, Kevin Micheletti and Carrie Herren; great-nephews, Chance Herren, Kolt Micheletti, and Case Micheletti.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life and enjoyed sharing his passion with his family and friends. He was the ultimate handyman and could repair or rebuild anything, always willing to help his family and neighbors. After retirement, he volunteered at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church working with the Altar Society and many other church functions. He was the official tea maker for the Bereavement committee. He was one of the founding members of the grass cutters ministry for the beautification of the church grounds.
Joseph will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with him.
Visitation will be held at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX on Sunday, October 1 beginning at 4:00pm with a Rosary being recited at 5:30pm and Vigil Service at 6:00pm. Final viewing will take place on Monday, October 2, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, TX. followed by a celebration of Mass at 11:00am. Rite of Committal will follow in Grace Memorial Park in Santa Fe, TX.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Doreck, Joey Micheletti, Kevin Micheletti, James Gainer, Ryan Gainer and Brian Head.
