Mr. Jose Leodegario Espinosa's Obituary
Jose Leodegario Espinosa, 78, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2009 surrounded by his wife and children. At the age of sixteen he made his way to the United States of America from Saltillo Coah, Mexico where he was born to Brigido and Tomasita Espinosa. Jose was one who was a self made man and was proud to become an American Citizen. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Frances Espinosa; daughters, Bella Alex & husband Ted, Esther Ruiz & husband Cornelio, Rose Verde, Tomasita Gonzalez & husband Gregorio, Kristina Espinosa, Jessica Tamez & husband John and Maria Espinosa; sons, Joe S. Magallon & wife Tami, David Espinosa & wife Trish, Richard Magallon & wife Cheryl, Joe L. Espinosa Jr., Vincent Espinosa & wife Stephanie, Christopher Espinosa and Juanito Espinosa. Jose also was the proud grandfather of twenty four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters; special nephews, Luis Espinosa and Margarito Cerda, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jose retired from the University of Houston after a dedicated 21 years of service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 24th from 5-9 PM at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland, TX with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 25th at 10:00 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, TX. Rite of Committal will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
