Jose Luis De Leon Sr's Obituary
Jose Luis De Leon – business owner, father of four, and a friend to many – passed away on November 10, 2022 at the age of 69 in Houston, Texas after months of fighting pancreatic cancer.
Jose Luis was born on May 7, 1953 to Rodolfo De Leon and Maria Barbosa in Sabinas, NL, Mexico and immigrated to Houston, Texas at a very young age. He went on to start a very successful painting business and worked hard even until his very last weeks.
Through the years, Jose Luis was known as the life of the party and enjoyed singing; often performing in small bars and restaurants. Although he never pursued a career in music, many say he would have been very successful. His personality was one you would gravitate towards and he made many friends everywhere he went. He had a deep love for music and insisted in having a radio even while in the hospital. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
