Mr. Jose Jorge Cavazos' Obituary
Jose Jorge "Joe" Cavazos born January 24, 1953 passed away August 5th, 2014 in Houston, TX, with his beloved family by his side. Joe leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Rosie Cavazos, son T.J. Cavazos and wife Lizeth Cavazos, daughter Raquel Cavazos, and his pride and joy grandson Ryan Cavazos; as well as brothers and sisters Ram and Patsy Cavazos, Ruben and Julia Cavazos, Roland and Sandy Cavazos, Sylvia and Manuel Berumen, Elva and Vincent Medina, Alma and Tom Castillo, Norma and Luis Hidalgo and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Jose Cavazos Jr. and Amelia H Cavazos, mother-in-law Eva Cruz and many other loved ones. Joe was known for his humor, love of motorcycles, classic cars and playing video games and riding go-carts with Ryan. He loved the outdoors, dove hunting, camping and music, especially oldies and spending time with his family. Joe loved Spring time and watching his favorite football team, the Houston Texans, even though he was usually shouting at them. He was a long time union brother, belonging to IBEW Local 716, a Blue Dog Democrat always supporting the cause in every election and woke up to C-SPAN every morning. Joe was a wise man of strong beliefs who was never lacking the words needed to educate those around him. Where ever Joe was, there was laughter. He always had a way of making people smile. In his last days before surgery he spoke about how his life was blessed with a perfectly loving wife, children, and grandchild and how he was able to live with no regrets, loving everything life had given to him. Joe was a feisty little guy. He will be missed and remembered by the many who were lucky to have known and loved him.
