Johnny Wilson was a kind and caring man who touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He was a beacon of light in every room he entered. He was one of God’s special servants here on earth.
Johnny was born on June 2, 1969, in Ruston, Louisiana to the late Etherlean and John H. Wilson. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Baytown, Texas.
Johnny obtained numerous skills thoughout his life. He was a Maintenance Engineer by trade. He loved sharing the knowledge of all of his skills. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking, music and spending time with friends and family. He especially loved the fun things in life that helped bring people together. He will always have a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.
Johnny went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2023, at the age of 54. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Tawanda Bailey; three sons Jared (Amnesty) Wilson, Julian Wilson, and Tariq Shepard; two sisters Kerri Wilson and Shalundria Jones; one granddaughter Jolana Wilson and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at South Park Funeral Home located at 1310 N Main Street, Pearland, TX 77581 at 11:00 am with a burial immediately following at Houston Memorial Gardens located at 2426 Cullen Blvd. Pearland, TX 77581.
