Johnny Louis Eaton's Obituary
Johnny Louis Eaton (known as "Ray" to his family and friends) was born, October 27, 1946, in Greenwood, Louisiana to Rachel and Levi Eaton.
Johnny joined the United States Army and served his Country honorably during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge he worked as a machinist at Oak Farms for over 30 years until his retirement. Johnny loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed boating,fishing,hunting and the outdoors. He was a big Astros fan and loved listening to his country music. Johnny was married to Helen Marie Eaton for over 40 years until she passed in 2013.
Johnny passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at his home in Pearland, Texas.
Mr. Eaton is survived by children: Mary Cockrell, Oscar Henderson (Kim) and Dr. Angie Eaton; sisters: Jean Shaw and Gladys Hood; grandchildren Telisha, Jermond, Tharnisha, Kimmeisha, Devin, Aspen and Ivy; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends at South Park Funeral Home on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Chapel of South Park Funeral Home at 10:00 am with Brother James Horace officiating. Interment will follow at the Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Military honors.
