John “JT” Taylor Martin, age 29, went to be with Jesus, Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Christus St Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont. JT was born July 12, 1990 in Houston, Texas to Fulton “Gerald” and Chena Martin.
He was a graduate of Atascocita High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He married Amber Ann Griffo June 25, 2017 in Crosby, Texas. He worked for Network Cabling Services and enjoyed his job as a conduit tech.
He loved working with power tools and had numerous scars to prove it. He had just completed paneling various walls in his new home using old fence boards and did a beautiful job.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved doing taxidermy work that he learned working for North American Taxidermy in Humble, Texas.
JT loved to spend time with his family, could grill a wonderful steak and bar-be-que a mean brisket.
He is preceded in death by his daddy, Gerald Martin who went to be with Jesus, September 2006. And his grandparents Elroy and Pearl Rose Martin. And grandparents John T. Cable and Merle Deen Woodson.
He is survived by his beautiful wife, that he lovingly called “Amber Rose” and their two daughters. Mary Jacqueline Stanley, age 8 and Violet Cheyenne Rose Martin, age 13 months.
JT loved being a daddy and had just completed coaching Mary’s little league T-ball team where she went on to be an All-Star. He loved his little Violet more than life and lovingly called her “That Girl.”
He is also survived by his mother, Chena Meche and his step-father Tommy Meche that he called “My Pop.”
His brother Aaron Martin, His sister Sara Beers and her husband Lewis Beers. His sister Patricia Molsbee and her husband Zach Molsbee.
Nephews and Nieces, Andrew Beers, Lexi Beers, Gabriel Molsbee, Jude Molsbee, and Lily Molsbee.
His Aunt RaeNell Bobo, who he thought was the best cook in the world until he married Amber, and His Uncle Doyce Bobo.
His Aunt Faye Bullard, Uncle Douglas Martin and his wife Diane, Aunt Debbie Valis and husband Edward, Aunt Josslyn Reha, Uncle Buster Martin, and Aunt Elrose McQueen.
Cousins Annette and Jerry Farley and numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00, December 13, 2019 at Elim Church. Funeral Services are being held at Elim Church, 3200 S Richey, Houston Texas, December 14, 2019 at 10:00 am. with Pastor Ron Nissen, his lifelong pastor officiating. Burial will take place at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands, Texas.
The family lovingly wants to bless everyone for their prayers and help at this time.
