John Alfred Coskey's Obituary
Johnny (John) Alfred Coskey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in his Garden Villas home in Houston, Texas at the age of 87. Johnny was born on June 23, 1936 to George and Mary Coskey and grew up in the Houston Heights area. After graduating from John H. Reagan High School, he attended Lon Morris College and completed his studies at the University of Houston. On April 8, 1961, Johnny married the love of his life, Janice Lane. As a lifelong Houstonian, Johnny worked in the geophysical industry for 36 years. Following his retirement, he then worked along-side Janice at Precision Aviation, Inc. for 27 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, boating and skiing with his children and grandchildren and flying with his son. Johnny is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice Coskey, his brother Norman Coskey and wife Erma of Houston, his daughter Karen Dennis and husband Wayne of Georgetown, his son Mark Coskey and wife Sharon of Tomball, four grandchildren and one great grandson. Visitation will be held at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland on May 4, 2024 at 8:30am. Funeral service will follow at 10am and interment will follow at South Park Cemetery at 11am. For those desiring, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association.
