John "Bill" William Worthington's Obituary
John William “Bill” Worthington passed away peacefully at his home in Pearland, Texas, on July 7, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born on July 31, 1945, in Stephenville, Texas, Bill led a life rich in knowledge, curiosity, and quiet devotion to family and community. He earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from The University of Texas in 1967 and later returned to school to earn a second degree in Computer Science from The University of Houston in 1988.

A man of many interests, Bill found great joy in flying his airplane and had a lifelong fascination with trains. He enjoyed making homemade beer and wine, tending to his garden, and sharing these passions with those close to him.
He is survived by his sister Margaret Ruth Worthington his daughter Anna “Tracy” Reimondo and her husband Craig Reimondo; his grandchildren David Reimondo and Victoria Kliesing; and his great-grandchildren Alexandria “Ali” Reimondo, Damian Ruiz, and Emilia Ruiz. Bill’s legacy lives on through the generations of family he cherished, the students he taught, the colleagues he worked alongside, and the quiet wisdom he shared with all who knew him.
A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a local educational or aviation charity in his honor.
