John K. Alexander's Obituary
In Loving Memory of John K. Alexander
March 27, 1946 – June 20, 2026
With faith in God's promises and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of John K. Alexander, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 20, 2026, at the age of 80.John was born on March 27, 1946, in Budhanoor, Kerala, India, to his beloved parents, the late K. I. John and Aleyamma John. Raised in a Christian home, he developed a deep faith in God that would guide every aspect of his life and become the foundation upon which he built his family, friendships, and service to others.
On June 19, 1975, John married the love of his life, Sosamma Alexander ("Susy"), beginning a beautiful marriage rooted in faith, love, and devotion. Together they shared many blessings and created a legacy that continues through their family and the countless lives they touched. In 1977, John immigrated to Houston, Texas, where he worked diligently to build a life for his family while remaining steadfast in his commitment to Christ and his church. He was honored to be one of the founding members of Ebenezer Assembly of God, a church community that became a central part of his life and ministry.
John truly embodied the words of Scripture: “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). His generosity knew no bounds. He faithfully supported families in need, encouraged pastors, and contributed to churches both near and far. One ministry especially dear to his heart was his home church, Budhanoor Bethel Assembly of God. It was a special blessing for him to attend and celebrate the church's 100th Jubilee in February 2026, a milestone that brought him great joy and gratitude.
John will be remembered for his generous heart, warm smile, playful spirit, and unwavering faith. He had a unique ability to bring joy to every gathering, make others feel welcome, and offer encouragement when it was needed most. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or a quiet act of generosity, he reflected Christ's love in his daily life.Though our hearts mourn his passing, we rejoice in the assurance that he has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23). His life was a testimony to God's goodness, and his legacy of faith, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him.
John's memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Sosamma ("Susy") Alexander; his son, Benji Alexander; his daughter, Sherry Alexander; his son-in-law, Justin John; and his three beautiful grandchildren, Noah, Micah, and Alivya. He is also lovingly remembered by his extended family, friends, church family, and the many lives he touched throughout the years."I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7May his soul rest in eternal peace in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
